The mountains got their name due to a series of eroded gullies that look like flames. Just as the name suggests, this place is extremely hot. Unfortunately, there is no a weather station to take regular temperature readings at this area. The highest, temperature ever taken here (152.2 °F) was recorded by the NASA satellite.
