#9 – Shanghai Tower
Started in 1993, building of this China's $4.2 billion 121-floor Shanghai Tower was completed this year. Currently the finishing work is held there. This is the second tallest building in the world, but the official opening will be this year. However, millions of people have already seen the picture that opens from the top, thanks to the dizzying pictures and videos of the two Russian daredevils illegally climb to the summit last year, and has become viral on the Internet. Multifunctional skyscraper consists of nine different vertical zones and is covered by a layer of transparent glass to protect it against weather conditions and natural ventilation.
