Located in Asker, a municipality west of Oslo, the Royal Palace is the official residence of the Norwegian monarch. Designed in neo-classical by Hans Linstow, a Danish-born Norwegian architect in the first half of the 19th century. The palace has 173 rooms and nowadays, it serves home to King Harald V and Queen Sonja.
