The city's name can be translated as "white bird." Locals are always engaged in the mining industry, which in the Middle Ages was inextricably linked with the alchemical workshops. Kiruna is located in a hundred and fifty kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. The sun appears here only for a short period from May 30 to July 15, all the rest of the residents have to put up with constant twilight, which become the polar night in winter.
