This state in the middle of the Pacific Ocean consists mainly of coral islands. Surface Area is 181 sq.km, population is 62,000. In 1986, the islands gained independence from the United States, but still only with the help of America they "stay afloat". The country has no natural resources and imports far exceed exports.
