The remains of Ramses III are proof that he did not die a natural death, but was a victim of assassins, unlike other mummies made in that era in Egypt. A deep cut was found at the throat of the pharaoh with the help of computed tomography. It was nearly seven centimeters in length and reached almost the backbone. Some Egyptologists believe that Ramses III was killed by his own sons.
