The Statue of Liberty is the most famous symbol of US democracy and freedom. American symbol was created by the French architect Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. The Statue of Liberty is a huge and expensive present that was given by the people of France to the people of the US on the 100th anniversary of the American independence. At the time of its construction, the Statue costed $250,000, which makes about 45 million today.
