Wendell Johnson was responsible for conducting psychological experiments, which are called "How to become a monster," as they were very cruel. With the help of an assistant, Mary Tudor, Wendell selected orphans from the orphanage in Ohio and subjected them to a series of experiments, whose purpose was to confirm the theory that stuttering is acquired as a result of learning. Some children were subjected to constant humiliation and comments. They were told that they talk wrong and badly. As a result of the experiment the children have acquired a number of mental disorders and speech for lifelong.
