This old cemetery is also called The Jewish Garden, it is situated in the Jewish Quarter of Prague. The Old Jewish Cemetery was in use from 15th century, the oldest preserved tombstone dates back to 1439 (until 1787). On a small piece of land there are more than 100,000 burials. The tombstones in the cemetery are placed really close to each other, also there are places where the cemetery having 12 layers of graves.
