Otzi The Iceman is one of the old European mummies, the age of the man was 5,300 years old at the time of its discovering. It was found in September 1991 in the Schnalstal glacier in the Ötztal Alps, near Hauslabjoch, on the border between Austria and Italy. The cause of death was most likely a blow to the head. Today, the mummy is displayed in the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano, northern Italy.
