The Italian cruise ship Costa Concordia ran aground with more than 4,000 passengers and crew on 13 January 2012. 32 people died in the accident.
A few months later, the wreck of the Costa Concordia became a tourist attraction with thousands visitors queuing up each day to catch a ferry that passed by the submerged luxury cruise ship.
