This castle located in the Belgian municipality of Holsbeek. The building is a half-ruined Flemish Renaissance castle. The story is around that it is haunted by one of its previous owners Lord of Rode. The ghost of the lord comes back every day at midnight in a carriage with six wild horses. The soul of the legendary lord cannot find rest because of murder of a priest who might have had an affair with the lord’s wife.

It is known for its hidden passageways and unique location - in a cave, and also for its violent history. In the 15th century, the castle was a seat of the knight Erazem, a robber baron, who was killed in this castle after being surrounded for a long time there. Since then, the castle is believed to be haunted by the ghost of knight.

One of the scariest places in Denmark, the Dragsholm Castle is haunted by a number of ghosts. One of them is the White Lady that is supposed to be the ghost of a girl who fell in love with a local commoner. The girl’s father found out about it and imprisoned the girl in her room. In early 20th century, a small skeleton wearing a white dress was found in one of the castle’s walls.

The Wolfsegg Castle is supposed to host ghosts for more than 500 years. In the 16th century, the owner of the castle hired two farmers in order to kill his wife as far as he found out that she had an affair. Shortly afterwards, the man and his sons died all at once. From then onward, the castle has been haunted by the White Woman. Moreover, numerous animal skeletons of unknown origin were discovered in a cave just a step away from the castle.

The Castle of Bardi or Landi Castle is thought to be haunted by the ghost of Moroello, an army captain who killed himself after his lover Soleste committed a suicide, thinking that Moroello had died in a battle. Today, this old medieval castle works as a museum devoted to local folklore and customs. However, the ghost of Moroello is still thought to reside at the castle for searching for his love.
