El Hotel del Salto was opened in 1928 to host tourists who came to admire the beauty of 157-meter tall Tequendama Falls. In the early 90’s the hotel was closed because the interest of tourists to the waterfall has significantly decreased. Two years ago El Hotel del Salto was turn into a museum.
