Diquis Spheres, also known as the stone spheres of Costa Rica, were found in the Diquis Delta of Costa Rica in 1930. These nearly perfect speres range in size from a few centimetres to over two meters in diameter. All of them are made of granodiorite, an igneous stone. The stones are monolithic sculptures made by human hands. Some of them weigh 16 tons.
