Painted in 1904, the Au Lapin Agile by Pablo Picasso, shows the brooding 25-year-old artist in a skin-tight, diamond-patterned harlequin suit with vibrant splashes of red, green and gold. In 1989, it was sold by the daughter of Joan Whitney Payson to Walter H. Annenberg for and adjusted price of $70 million.
