Tendencies that have emerged over a hundred years ago says that the ice cap at the peak of Kilimanjaro will disappear soon. Between 1912 and 2011 the mass of ice at the peak has decreased by more than 85%. Scientists argue that the question isn't whether the ice disappear, the question is when it will happen.
