Saunas and sweat baths took a huge part in Mayan culture. They believed it helped them relieve impurities.

The Mayan people live on today, however the last self-governing Mayan state was subdued in 1697.
#8 – Chichen Itza
The ruins and pyramids often shown on the pictures are most likely those of Chichen Itza, one of the biggest Mayan cities. It was privately owned until 29 March 2010, when it was purchased by the government.
#7 – Mayan Weapon
Like the Aztecs, Mayans didn’t use iron or steel tools. Their weapons were made of volcanic rock.
#6 – Mayan Noses
Mayan nobleman had noses built up with putty to give them an admired beaked shape. In addition, their teeth were inlaid with jade.
