Sloth
The sloth is one of the most lovable bizarre animals, which will never be forgotten due to the fact, that the one of the Seven Deadly Sins was actually named after it. Despite the fact, that there are at least a few different subspecies of sloths, all of them are known for being super slow, and super lazy. Don‘t believe us? Well, you should, because scientists counted the top speed of these animals turns out to be only 1.2 mph. The majority of sloths can be found in Central and South American jungles, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

If you like to move it, move it – you probably have heard about the so-called Aye Aye cute little animals that naturally live only in the island of Madagascar. Not only they surprise visitors with their gigantic opened eyes, but also long and spindly fingers which they use to hunt insects living inside trees. Bizzare or cute - it is your call.
#4 – Emperor Tamarin
This cute little black monkey is so adorable we sometimes might forget that it has huge white-grayish mustaches that make Tamarin look like an old Southern States fellow. Other say that just majestic mustaches remind more of German Emperor Wilhelm’s II facial hair, which actually gave the name for this species. But that didn’t change the fact, that his little monkey has an adorable feature you won’t forget for long. The animal can be found the rain forests of Peru and Bolivia.
#3 – Red Panda
Ok, Red Panda might not be the most bizarre animal in the world then you look at it at first, but there is a reason why we listed this cute animal on this particular list. The animal looks more like a mix between a panda bear and a raccoon, so it is quite strange that people decided to give the “panda” title to it instead of another name. Simply because of the reason, that red panda is way smaller than big pandas we used to see, and well, it is not a bear! Actually, the red panda is more related to raccoons, weasels and skunks and is slightly larger than an average house cat. This cute mammal is native to the eastern Himalayas and Southwestern China.
#2 – Proboscis Monkey
Now we are talking strange! Proboscis monkey is surely the one monkey who might be the most conscious about his nose. The long-nosed animal also shares another name of "monyet belanda" (Dutch monkey) and indeed differs from other animals due to its appearance. Living mostly on the southeast island of Borneo, Proboscis monkey is actually in the list of the IUCN Red List of Threatened Endangered Species, due to the fact, that its total population has decreased by more than 50% in the last 40 years due to habitat loss and hunting.
#1 – Axolotl
This is surely the strangest animal in the last, hard to call cute (as others we pretty easy to be named like that). Technically Axolotl is a member of the Mexican salamander family, but since due to some evolutionary bug, it never fully matures, and that makes it look more like an oversized tadpole. Arguably, all members of Axolotl family are weird, but the crown of the most bizarre family member belongs to the leucistic axolotl, that has white pigmentation and pink eyes. Axolotls can be found in the lakes around southern Mexico, particularly Lake Xochimilco.
