At the age of 4, model was diagnosed with vitiligo, a skin disease that destroys cells that produce skin pigment. This violation of skin pigmentation is expressed in the disappearance of the pigment melanin in some areas of the skin that creates a so-called 'multi-colored effect'. Chantelle admitted that she had to endure abuses and ridicule from others, but these are just helped her to rise above this and begin to appreciate and love her difference.
