Wall, which has divided Berlin into two parts and separated East Germany from the West Germany was built after World War II. Then, the Soviet Union established the German Democratic Republic in response to the creation of the Federal Republic of Germany under the control of the United States, Britain and France. In 1990, the wall was broken.
