It’s generally known that the light move in a straight line. However, scientists from the Universities of Glasgow, Bristol and Southampton light tied into knots, making a reality of abstract mathematical concepts. Units have been created with holograms which direct the flow of light around the dark areas using knot theory, a branch of mathematics that deals with sites in real life.
