The combination of "A Circle" was used in the XVI century by European alchemists influenced by Kabbalistic magic as the first letters of the words "Alpha and Omega", the beginning and end.
#2 – Pacific
The famous symbol was developed in 1958 in Britain at the height of the movement against nuclear war as a combination of characters semaphore alphabet «N» and «D» (the first letters of the phrase «nuclear disarmament»). Later, it was used as a symbol of universal reconciliation and unity of mankind.
#1 – Dollar
The word "dollar" is not just a value. The word "Joachimstaler" is underlied of it. Joachimstaler is a coin of the XVII century, which was minted in the Czech city Joachimsthal (Jáchymov). For the convenience, the name of the currency was reduced to "thaler". In Denmark, due to the nature of language name of the coin is pronounced "Daler", and in Britain it was transformed from the familiar to us in a "dollar".
