The Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre were opened in Kigali, Rwanda, to commemorate the Rwandan genocide in 1994. About 500,000–1,000,000 Rwandans were killed during 100-day period from April 1994 to July 1994. Approximately half a million women were raped, sexually mutilated and murdered during the genocide.
